BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein confirm, French striker Alexandre Lacazette has completed his medical at Arsenal ahead of his imminent arrival from Lyon.
Record signing
Lacazette’s move to North London has been in the pipeline for some time now, though took a huge step forward on Sunday evening when Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that the transfer was just days away from completion.
Gunners fans the world over have voiced their hopes that the arrival of Lacazette will be announced today, though that seems unlikely.
Closing in
However, as per the aforementioned report from BBC, the 26-year-old’s move to North London has indeed moved a step closer, with Lacazette having completed his medical this evening.

Further arrivals?
The additional information in Ornstein’s Tweet is also worth taking note of, with the suggestion that Arsenal may be finished with signings in the attacking department, if the trio of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remain at the club.
Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez has looked the most likely Emirates arrival of the players linked with the club, though it remains to be seen whether Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is willing to splash out on two big-money attackers in one summer.
